Ok so you've been through the mini course but you still have a lot of questions. How am I supposed to bring 

home  Ben and Jerry's and not eat the whole thing in one sitting? I don't want to bring home foods that are high calorie! Why would having Doritos and Nutella in my home lead to me craving salad?? Aren't the foods I crave unhealthy and things I should stay away from!? Are you trying to make me gain weight!? 

I HEAR YOU! Remember, I told you this would be a process! So let me support you! 

In the MINDFUL MODERATION GROUP EXPERIENCE  we will meet weekly for three weeks to go through my 3 Step process; REVIEW, RESET & REWIRE. Throughout our time together you will be learning what your PERSONAL moderation is, how to listen to your bodily cues, how to trust yourself, what to do if a binge/ over eating occurs & how to enter into Thanksgiving and the holiday season feeling confident, excited and IN CONTROL around all the holiday foods! 

Week 1-  REVIEW

  • What are your beliefs about food that you have learned about diets?

    • Don’t eat after 7pm

    • Don’t eat carbs

    • Fat is bad for you

    • Dairy is bad for you

    • Only eat brown rice

    • Don’t eat more than 1200 calories

Together let’s come up with more beliefs that you have built from dieting. They can be sneaky.

  • How have these rules made you feel, free or burdened? Like you are doing something RIGHT? Or WRONG?

  • What would be your ideal relationship with food?

  • How much time and energy would meal planning/ prep take up in your head.

Week  2: RESET

  • Now that you can see how you think about food and what you prefer you relationship with food would be like how do we reset?

  • Let’s debunk all your diet beliefs. How has each one of the rules you wrote down taken you away from your ability to trust your body and mind. Why would it be better if you could trust your body and mind.

  • Instead of thinking of what rules you need to follow in this reset you are going to start to TRUST yourself. Will you really eat cake all day if you give yourself permission to do so?

  • Learn about physical / mental restriction.

  • How can you begin to honor your hunger? How would it make you feel to eat whatever you want whenever you want? Out of control? Scared? Like you’ll gain a lot of weight? Can you commit to trusting this process?

  • Feeling your fullness and being present in the eating experience.

  • Eating satisfying foods.

 

 

Week 3- REWIRE

  • Recognize what diet culture mentality is showing up as you let go of the rules.

  • Can you go to the grocery store and buy Oreos without looking at the nutrition label? What anxiety comes up? How do you combat that.

  • What are the voices in your head saying when you sit and eat food like pizza vs. a salad.

  • In order to rewire your brain we have to be able to recognize the old patterns that aren’t suiting you. You have to challenge the diet culture devil sitting on your shoulder.

  • What freedoms come up when you give yourself unconditional permission to eat?

  • Make sure to unfollow all the diet culture content creators. Stay in your lane. You don’t need it be sucked back into the same pattern that hasn’t worked for 30 years.

  • Explain the basis of neuroscience and how you can  actually create new neural pathways and that will lead to the ultimate trust in your body.

  •  As you rewire you will be finding YOUR PERSONAL moderation.
